Core FAQ

What is an options prop firm and how does Option Funding work?

An options prop firm gives you real capital to trade options so you never risk your own savings. At Option Funding, you pass a simple evaluation to prove you can manage risk, then we fund your account and you keep 90% of every dollar you earn. No experience requirements, no hidden fees, no fine print. It's the fastest way for options traders to access serious buying power without draining their bank account.

Do I need trading experience to get funded?

Nope. Option Funding was built for traders at every level, including complete beginners. We don't care about your resume or how many years you've been trading. Our evaluation tests one thing: can you manage risk and stay disciplined? Many of our most successful funded traders started with zero prop firm experience. If you understand the basics of buying calls and puts, you're ready to start.

How much profit do I keep and when do I get paid?

You keep 90% of every dollar of profit you generate. Request a payout anytime your account is above the threshold. No waiting 15 days like other firms. Withdraw via bank transfer, PayPal, or crypto. Simple process, fast turnaround. You earned it, you keep it.

How much does it cost to start?

Evaluations start at just $99. That's what gets you in the door. Once you pass, there's a one-time $119 activation fee to unlock your funded account. Then you're trading with our capital. You never risk personal money on a single trade. Your downside is capped at the eval and activation fee. Your upside is real profit in your pocket.

Can I trade SPX, SPY, QQQ, and 0DTE options?

Yes. SPX, SPY, QQQ, IWM, individual stock options, and 0DTE are all supported. If it has an options chain, you can trade it. Check your plan details for any instrument-specific notes.

What happens if I fail the evaluation?

You don't owe us anything beyond the evaluation fee you already paid. If you hit the drawdown limit, the evaluation ends and you can reset for a fee to try again. No debt, no margin call on your personal account, no penalty. Most successful funded traders didn't pass on their first attempt.

Funding Flow

When do I select my account size?

You choose the account path during onboarding and can review the full details before you begin trading. The dashboard then becomes the place where the account is managed.

What happens after I pass?

After you complete the objective and stay inside the rules, the next step is funded account setup and payout workflow access inside the platform.

Risk

Can I ignore expiration risk if the trade is still working?

No. Expiration handling, assignment risk, and overnight exposure all need to stay inside the rule framework. The platform should make that easier to track, not something you discover too late.

Are risk limits visible in the dashboard?

Yes. The account dashboard is built to keep drawdown, target progress, and account status visible without making you dig for it.

Tools and Workflow

What role does Ticksage play?

Ticksage can sit alongside the workflow as a market and execution companion, but it does not replace the firm dashboard, the rules pages, or the payout/account controls.

Will Trading Camp be required?

No. Trading Camp is being positioned as an optional education and process layer so the landing experience stays focused and conversion-friendly.
